It was the year 2004 when Aston Martin first launched its DB9 grand tourer. It had the distinction of being the first automobile to be constructed at the Gaydon facility. The DB section of the name stems from David Brown, who has owned Aston Martin for the vast majority of its existence. The DB9 was begun by designer Ian Callum and finished by his successor Henrik Fisker. The car superseded the Aston Martin DB7, which was also designed by Callum. That model, which was first produced in the year 1994, has now been discontinued.
The Aston Martin DB9 can be found in two variants – convertible and coupé style. Each variant comes with a V12 6.0 L 450 brake horsepower Configuration that is borrowed from the V12 Vanquish, which is known as the DB9’s sister car. It has been predicted that Aston Martin will produce around five thousand DB9 units per year.
The convertible version of the Aston Martin DB9, known as the Volante, was constructed by hand in a limited edition and features enhanced styling. It comes with either six speed automatic transmission or six speed manual. It is a lot taller than the standard Aston Martin DB9.
