Aston Martin V12 Vanquish

With a stunning design by Ian Callum, the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish was a grand tourer first presented in the year 2001. It was the flagship vehicle of Aston Martin until the year 2007, when it was discontinued. It reached the height of its success when it was featured prominently in the twenties James Bond movie, Die Another Day.

A new, full fledged replacement is slated to be unveiled in the year 2010. Until then, the Aston Martin DBS V12 will replace it.

The Aston Martin V12 Vanquish was developed in the wake of the Project Vantage concept vehicle. It was debuted at the North American International Auto Show in the year 1998 with a V12 Configuration. In the year 2000, the production model of the car was first presented. The following year, production of the series began, but it was not until the year 2002 that models first reached the United States of America.

The Aston Martin V12 Vanquish has drawn criticism for what some perceive to be weaknesses in its design. Some of its interior materials in particular are said to be weak for a car that is in this price range and prestige level.
