The Azure was a four seat convertible luxury vehicle that the auto maker Bentley produced up to the year 2003. Production of the Azure model was based largely on the Bentley Continental R, as well as later T models that had almost the exact same Configurations and styling. The only difference was that the T contained a bit more power and torque.
Pininfarina designed the top of the Bentley Azure. The car sold for $347,645, making it slightly more expensive than the Bentley Continental R.
Two versions of the Bentley Azure exist. One was produced between the years of 1995 and 2002, while the Bentley Azure Mulliner was made between the years of 1999 and 2003. The Bentley Azure Mulliner came from the in house customizing department of Bentley. It contained few differences visually from the original model.
The Bentley Azure was intended to combine high performance and glamour with the cross continental capabilities of a modern sporting Bentley vehicle.
The Bentley Azure car was featured in several music videos by artists as diverse as Olivia and Limp Bizkit. The car is probably best known from the “Thong Song” video of Sisqo. Jay Z also posed beside a Bentley Azure on the cover of his CD, Vol. 2 Hard Knock Life.
