In an effort to leave no gap in their range of luxury automobiles, Bentley came up with the powerful Continental T, a car that continued to emphasize Bentley’s concern with luxury, but simultaneously emphasizing sportiness for a change.

The performance on the 1996 version of the Bentley Continental T impressed everyone. It boasted 590 ft / ibf (800 N M). The 1997 model of the car, at 650 / ibf (881 N m), the car was situated at the top of its class. No other passenger motorcar in the universe came even close to attaining this figure. As a 2+2 coupe whose development stemmed from the Bentley Continental R, the Bentley Continental T boasted a sportier external appearance thanks to its shorter wheelbase and extended wheel arches in the front and rear of the vehicle.

The Configuration turned dashboard came complete with chrome finish instruments, rather than wood finish. This made one nostalgic for Bentley’s hey day. The Configuration on the vehicle responded to a separate push button start. All of the Continentals aimed at getting the driver across a continent with ease, luxury, and style.

In the year 1999, the Bentley Continental T Mulliner was introduced.
