Bentley Motors Limited introduced the high performance vehicle known as the Bentley Turbo R. It has the same chassis as the Bentley Mulsanne, and shares a turbocharged Configuration with the Mulsanne Turbo vehicle. The Turbo R’s Configuration, however, was enhanced with the Bosch MK Motronic fuel injection in order to provide it with extra torque. The vehicle also features a retuned suspension, as well as wider tires on alloy wheels. The Turbo R has gotten rave reviews ever since it was first introduced in the United States of America in the year 1989.
The Bentley Turbo R has emerged as a viable performer, thanks to its subtle suspension changes. It also features increased anti roll bar rates, as well as tuned dampers. The car features a panhard rod, as well, which effectively reduces side to side movement in corners of the automobile.
While official figures were never released by Bentley or Rolls Royce, it is estimated that the Bentley Turbo R comes with about 297 hp power output and torque of about 487 ft / lbf.
The Bentley Turbo R is available in the United States of America for around $145,000. This positions it above both the Rolls Royce Silver Spirit and the Bentley Mulsanne S, but below the Rolls Royce Silver Spur.
