Chevrolet Corvette

Ever since the year 1953, Chevrolet has manufactured the famous sports car known as the Corvette. It has widely been considered to be the greatest sports car in the United States of America. Today, the Chevrolet Corvette is built at a General Motors factory in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Previously, it was built in Flint, Michigan and in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Chevrolet Corvette was the very first all American sports car to be built by an American carmaker. Bowling Green, Kentucky is also home today to the National Corvette Museum.

For over five decades, Corvettes have been known for offering powerful Configurations at a reasonable price. While older versions of the Corvette were often criticized for being lacking in refinement by the standards imposed by European sports cars, more recent models have improved in a lot in these critical areas.

Chevrolet Corvettes emphasize simplicity rather than complexity. Corvettes utilize simple overhead valve designs and larger displacement rather than smaller displacement and faster revving Configurations, which similar marques tend to utilize. Thus, the cars are not so expensive to make and maintain. The cars also continuously use transverse leaf springs in their suspension, which often gives rise to the argument that the cars lack refinement.
