The concept vehicle known as the Chevrolet T2X was first developed by the GMDAT development center. It was unveiled in the year 2005 at the Seoul Motor Show. The Chevrolet T2X is based on the design of the Chevrolet S3X.

It utilizes a shortened Theta platform. The Chevrolet T2X is often referred to as a sport utility coupe. This is meant to account for its rear hinged doors as well as its shortened wheelbase. These features were initially revealed on a concept vehicle known as the Daewoo Scope, which was first shown in the year 2002 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. While production on that vehicle was initially slated for autumn 2006, there has been no further announcement of that vehicle’s plans. The same shortened platform was also utilized on the Open Antara GTC concept that was shown in the year 2005 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The Chevrolet S3X, which the T2X is based on, was conceived by GM Daewoo’s design center in Incheo. It is based on the GM Theta platform. The Chevrolet S3X was first shown in the year 2004 at the Paris Motor Show. Production on the vehicle is slated to begin in the summer of 2006.
