DaimlerChrysler offers a medium sized crossover SUV known as the Chrysler Pacifica. While it is often reported otherwise, the Chrysler Pacifica does not in fact share a platform with Chrysler minivans. It functions on its own platform and has all wheel drive. It also boasts an upscale interior for those individuals in need of more flexibility and cargo storage.

The Chrysler Pacifica was introduced for the 2004 market. It was inspired initially by the Chrysler Pacifica of 1999 as well as the Chrysler Citadel of 2000 – both of which were concept vehicles.

The Chrysler Pacifica has the distinction of being Chrysler’s very first SUV. Chrysler refers to the Pacifica as a “sports tourer.” The Chrysler Pacifica is constructed in Windsor, Canada alongside the Chrysler Town & Country and the Dodge Grand Caravan.

In the year 2007, the exterior of the Chrysler Pacifica was slightly modified. The most obvious change is seen in the new design of the headlights. The new Chrysler Pacifica also features a restyled hood, grille, front fascia, and fenders. The Chrysler group also decided to revise the vehicle’s seventeen inch wheels.

Dual Exhaust has been added, as well as a new transmission and Configuration and new wheel options.
