Since the year 1996, the French auto manufacturer Citroen has put out the leisure activity vehicle and panel van known as the Berlingo.
The Berlingo is based on three initial concept cars, only one of which – the current Multispace – has been produced. The Berlingo is very similar in many ways to the Partner, another gar in the PSA Group. It boasts the exact same chassis. While the initial version of the Citroen Berlingo was released in the year 1996, a revised version, featuring a new front end and interior, was released in the year 2003.
The passenger version of the car has been dubbed the Multispace. It sells very well throughout Europe for its low price and practicality. One of the main users of the Berlingo is the Hellenic Air Force. They utilize large numbers of Berlingos as a means of transporting their staff.
It is believed that Citroen is currently developing a replacement vehicle for the Berlingo. It is not yet known whether they will keep the Berlingo name or not. The entire range is believed to be similar to the other models in the PSA Group.
The Configuration of the Citroen Berlingo has been designed from the ground up to be powered by Electric, Petrol, and Diesel.
