The executive car Citroen C6 is made by the French auto marque Citroen. It was first unveiled in the year 2005. The make of the car is inspired by a previous C6 Lignage prototype, which was show in the year 1999 at the Geneva Motor Show.
The C6 differs slightly from that model, however, particularly in aesthetics. While it was hoped that the C6 would begin being produced by the end of 2001, as it was intended to serve as a replacement for the XM model of 1989, it would take another four years for the C6 to finally roll off the production line – despite the fact that XM ceased production in the year 2001.
Citroen C6 cars are powered by either a 2.7 L V6 Hdi diesel Configuration or a 3.0L ES9 V6. In the year 2006, another Configuration was introduced – a 2.2 L Hdi producing 173 hp with FAP.
The Citroen C6 was the first automobile to be awarded four stars in the pedestrian test rating of EuroNCAP thanks to its innovative safety design.
The Citroen C6 attained a whole new level of prestige when Jacque Chirac, the former president of France, chose the car as his official automobile.
