There are three different vehicles known as the Dodge Avenger. One is the couple, which was manufactured between the years of 1995 and 2000. A second one is a concept vehicle, which was first unveiled in the year 2003 at the North American International Auto Show. Finally, there is the Dodge Avenger JS, which is a sedan that was released in the year 2007 as a 2008 model.
Originally, the name Avenger was used to designate a vehicle known as the Hillman Avenger, which would later come to be known as the Chrysler / Talbot Avenger. This car was produced by the Rootes Group, a company that would subsequently come to be owned by the Chrysler Corporation.
The first generation of Dodge Avenger vehicles came in the form of a two door coupe. This vehicle was produced between the years 1995 and 2000. The Dodge Avenger effectively served as a replacement vehicle for both the Dodge Stealth and the Dodge Daytona. Alongside the similar Chrysler Sebring, the Dodge Avenger was built by Diamond Star Motors, which was a joint venture between Mitsubishi and Chrysler. This joint venture came to an end in the year 1995. The Avengers that were built between the years of 1995 and 1996 have DSM markings in their Configurations.
