The current version of the Dodge Charger takes the form of a full size rear wheel drive car that is made by the Dodge brand of the DaimlerChrysler corporation. The Dodge Charger name has been used repeatedly in the past by a host of different vehicles.

This version of the Dodge Charger was first introduced in the year 2005 as a model for the 2006 year. This version of the Dodge Charger shares the same platform as the Dodge Magnum and the Chrysler 300. Component parts are borrowed from the Mercedes E Class platform. Some feel that the interior of the Dodge Charger is essentially the same as that of the Dodge Magnum.

The Dodge Charger was presented as a replacement vehicle for the Dodge Intrepid. A four door sedan, many fans of the previous Dodge Charger models were disappointed, as the car has historically been a two door model.

The Dodge Charger is currently constructed in Canada at the Brampton Assembly factory.

The Dodge Charger retails for a starting price of $22,995. The Charger comes equipped with a Chrysler 3.5 L V6 Configuration. This Configuration produces 250 hp as well as torque of 250 ft / lbf.
