The Dodge Grand Caravan is a minivan that is manufactured alongside the Dodge Caravan by DaimlerChrysler. Until the year 1998, the Dodge Grand Caravan was sold by the Chrysler Corporation. The Dodge Grand Caravan was first introduced in the year 1983 as a vehicle for the 1984 model year. The Dodge Grand Caravan was presented as a sister vehicle for the Plymouth Voyager, which was later named the Chrysler Voyager.

As the very first modern minivans, the Dodge Caravan and Dodge Grand Caravan are credited with the creation of the entire minivan market segment. These two vehicles were launched a few months before the Renault Espace, a vehicle that has the distinction of being the first minivan on the European continent. The Renault Espace were first presented to executive in the year 1979, but were not offered to the public until the year 1984. The Dodge Caravan and Dodge Grand Caravan did not, however, offer the extensive interior versatility that the Renault Espace boasted until several generations later.

Ever since they were first introduced, the Dodge Caravan and Dodge Grand Caravan have been the best selling minivans in the United States of America.

The Dodge Grand Caravan is essentially the same vehicle as the Dodge Caravan, only with a longer wheelbase.
