The Sprinter is the name given to the vehicle that is manufactured under the Dodge, Mercedes Benz, and Freightliner brands. The Dodge Sprinter is a minibus, van, and chassis cab. It is constructed in the German city of Duesseldorf by Mercedes Benz.

It was launched in the year 1995 as a replacement for the European vehicle the Mercedes Benz T1. In the year 2001, the Dodge Sprinter was introduced in the United States of America.

The body shell of the Dodge Sprinter is also utilized in a joint venture with Volkswagen, which resulted in the Volkswagen LT.

The second generation of the Dodge Sprinter was introduced in the European Union in the year 2006.

In the year 2007, the Dodge Sprinter was voted Van of the Year by Professional Van and Light Truck Magazine.
