The Hummer division of General Motors first introduced their Hummer H3 model in the year 2006. The Hummer H3 is known as the smallest of all the Hummer vehicles. While the Hummer H3 was a pickup truck in its concept car version, the production model of the vehicle is actually conventional SUV.
The GMT345 platform of the Hummer H3 is based on the GMT355, which is the platform that the GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado pickup trucks are built on. The Hummer H3 is constructed in Shreveport, Louisiana at the General Motors facility there. There are also export versions of the car produced in South Africa.
In the United States of America and Canada, the Hummer H3 is priced between $29,500 and $40,500. Sales figures for the Hummer H3 have been incredibly strong. In the first two months of 2006, over eight thousand Hummer H3s were sold.
The Hummer H3 employs a 3.7 L Atlas straight five Configuration. This Configuration can also be found in GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado pickup trucks.
