The Hyundai Veracruz was officially unveiled in South Korea in the year 2006. In the United States of America, the Hyundai Veracruz is currently available as a 2007 model year vehicle.
Hyundai refers to the Hyundai Veracruz as a Luxury Utility Vehicle. It is intended to compete with the Lexus RX350. The Hyundai Veracruz is considered by many to be similar to the Hyundai Santa Fe crossover vehicle. It is available for around the same price as the Toyota Highlander, the Mazda CX 9, and the Honda Pilot.
The Hyundai Veracruz, which first went on sale in the United States of America in March of 2007, is the largest crossover SUV manufactured by Hyundai, and will remain so until the year 2009, when the large Hyundai Portico is deemed to be launched.
