The Swedish car company Koenigsegg manufactures the Koenigsegg CC8S vehicle. It is known as a super car that boasts a MR drive train layout. It is no longer being manufactured, however. Since they stopped making the CC8S, Koenigsegg has gone on to manufacture the Koenigsegg CCX and the Koenigsegg CCR.

Upon its introduction, the Koenigsegg CC8S became the fastest legal street car on the market. It had a top speed of 240 miles per hour and an acceleration that can go up to sixty two miles per hour in less than four seconds. In the year 2006, however, the speed record of the Koenigsegg CC8S was overtaken by the Bugatti Veyron. The body and chassis of the Koenigsegg CC8S are constructed out of carbon fiber. It is reinforced with aluminum honeycomb and kevlar.

The double wishbone suspension that was developed by Koenigsegg was modeled from Formula One racing. It has been proven to provide better handling than any other super car on the market today. Just like a racing vehicle, the Koenigsegg CC8S may be modified in order to optimize the car for the track.

Complete with hard top roof paneling, which can be removed for storage beneath the front hood of the vehicle, the leather and aluminum fitted cabin includes all the top equipment drivers today need for the ultimate in security and comfort.
