The Swedish automobile maker Koenigsegg is responsible for the manufacture of the Koenigsegg CCX, a vehicle that has since been superseded by the Koenigsegg CCXR. CCX stands for Competition Coupe X.

The X in the title is meant to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the first CC vehicle’s completion and test drive, which took place in the year 1996. The Koenigsegg CCX has been Configurationered to comply with the United States market and its regulations.

The Koenigsegg CCX takes the form of a two seat, two door vehicle with a removable hardtop front hood. The body of the vehicle is made of Kevlar and carbon fiber. It boasts lightweight sandwich reinforcements. The CCX’s dihedral synchro helix actuation doors are regarded as a fine piece of Koenigsegg Configurationering. They allow for maximum space efficiency whenever the vehicle is parked.

The Koenigsegg CCX has already made its way in to popular culture. The vehicle makes an appearance in the recent movie Redline. There is also a Koenigsegg CCX in the collector’s edition of the video game Need for Speed: Carbon. The maximum speed of the Koenigsegg CCX in the game is only 202 miles per hour. In real life, however, the car is capable of reaching a speed of up to 242 miles per hour.
