Lotus for all its excellence in the Coupe’ and race car market somehow has maintained a low profile through out. The new Lotus Exige S has a reputation of being the fastest of all cars from Lotus. The Exige S has only slight differences from the Exige.
There is an S on the front fenders and the spoilers are same as the body color and not black. They have deliberately made the Exige to look like a GT racer. In the interiors the seats are very comfortable, good carpeting, nice Air conditioning and it even has cup holders.
The hard ware information is that the car has the famous Toyota 4 cylinder Configuration like the Elise but the power it unleashes is 218 hp at 7800 rpm. The Exige S weighs at 2061 pounds which is a Lotus trademark and follows the Lotus Company principal of a low weight car. People who have driven the car say it is ferociously fast and has an excellent traction. It reaches 60 mph in 4.1 seconds which is astonishing. And that is why it figures in the league of super cars. It has already earned the reputation of being an extreme car and is hoping to take over the markets as a standard car.
