Lotus Exige is purely a racing car designed for high adrenalin hard core racing. However the Exige uses the same basic components of its predecessors like the Elisa but the output differs largely with 190 hp from 1.8 L Toyota 4 cylinder Configuration.
It has a six speed manual transmission and an aluminum chassis and a plastic body. It is a complete driving experience with finesse. It does not come across as brutish with all that power to harness but it builds in a lot of character with its power. Even on the rough roads for once you don’t feel that you are actually fighting the track but instead you learn that the wheels are cruising through the rough patches.
The Exige’s body has a long nose, a splitter in the front and a covered roof which is unlike coupe’. The real horse power kicks in when you reach 6200 rpm and then the Toyota Configuration e starts to feel. That’s when the car actually performs and you won’t have a chance to complain anymore. The only complain in the Exige is that the brakes don’t take on well when the car is at a low speed, but on higher speeds you find the brakes more compatible and the ABS takes care of the rest.
