The MG Rover Company has decided to build a new luxury sports car and the announcement came quite as a surprise to a lot of spectators after the Le Man 24 hour race.

The all new MG X80 will be based on the Mangusta Chassis along with a Ford v8 Configuration with 4.6L capacity which will give a power of 380bhp. The X80 design comes from the Peter Stevens School of design and the director of Design at the MG Rover. The Grille aperture sports a slim horizontal bar and has three headlamps somewhat like the MGF XP500.  The MG X80 is supposed to have world class standards in high performance cars with the luxury aspect added to it. MG Rover as a company lacks presence in this particular segment of cars, so the MG X80 provides the right platform that they are looking for and also bring them a successful debut which they have needed for a long time. The car really started idealizing only after they started inquiring about the Mangusta Chassis in Modena and then they struck the deal with Qvale Automotive group to standardize the chassis for the new MG X80. Now the MG brand and Qvale jointly plant to globalize the product.
