Many loyal BMW, and diesel fans have been eagerly waiting for news regarding the BMW 740d, well BMW have finally unveiled information about supposedly the most powerful luxury diesel car BMW have ever produced.
Behind the hood, you will find a twin-turbo six cylinder engine, which BMW say will match the output of a large V8; however more details regarding this amazing engine are yet to be released by the German firm. The 740d will output approximately 306 BHP and up to 600Nm of torque between 1.5k to 2.5k RMP! At top speed, you’ll be travelling at 155 MPH, and with a 0 – 60 time of 6.3 seconds, it won’t take long to get there either. Despite these impressive statistics, BMW are adamant that the car will average 40 MPG, which is a big statement for the luxury car.
The 740d will be available in BMW showrooms this autumn; prices for the vehicle will be around £60,000. Also in other BMW news, the automotive firm have announced multiple sport and lifestyle editions of the popular BMW 1 series models, which will be available around September this year.
