After a long wait, the details of Ferrari newest car, the Ferrari 458 has been revealed, with an astonishing top speed of 203 MHP, and getting from zero to sixty in under 3.5 seconds, it’s faster than an Enzo! The 458 features a 4.5 litre V8 engine which can output 570 BHP, the red rocket is also fitted with a double clutch and a seven speed gearbox. Sadly the Italian giants have been under immense pressure to produce something special, thanks to the dominance of super cars such as the Audi R8. Chassis wise, the 458 features similar chassis technology to the Lamborghini Gallardo and with the amount of power this car has, I’m confident it will blow its competitors away.

The Ferrari 458 boast a range of features which coupled together make this car look a fabulous prospect:
• The holes within the front and flanks of the bodywork ensure a flow of air to the cars radiators and engine, keeping them cool, however the real bonus of this is that the air is pushed under the 458’s under tray into many aerodynamic tunnels, giving the car an immense 140kg of down force at 120 MPH
• Power is given to the back wheels using Ferrari’s e-diff slip differential and it also features the F1 trac traction system
• Brake wise, the Ferrari 458 is fitted with light weight carbon ceramic brakes which aid the cars blistering acceleration
This cars debut is set to happen at the Frankfurt Motor Show during September, and you can expect the car to be available within the UK around spring next. Considering the performance output the Ferrari 458 has a respectable price tag of £172,000.
