Here's the latest police car that could be patrolling streets near you, the Jaguar XF is currently being tested across the UK for the cars effectiveness as a police pursuit vehicle. This particular XF features the S diesel engine, which can generate an impressive 271 BHP from the 3.0 litre twin turbo engine, and despite the added weight from essential electronics, sirens and lights, the Jaguar still handles perfectly at high speed despite the aerodynamic properties not being in its favour, and can hit 60 MPH from a stand still in 5.9 seconds, whilst still being environmentally friendly at 179g/km (42 MPG) combined.

Some forces across the UK are currently using Subaru's and Mitsubishi Evo's however this car offers a blend of power, immense practicality and less maintenance would be required overall. The managing director of Jaguar, Geoff Cousins had this to say regarding the vehicle: "Forces are currently looking for vehicles which offer power and practicality, whilst being economically friendly and still offer good value for money". It seems that XF is having more of an impression that the other cars currently being considered such as Mercedes E-Class and BMW's 5 series.
