Here we have the first official images of Kia’s latest vehicle, the Kia Sorento. The new seven seat SUV is set to have its debut at the Frankfurt motor show this September. This predecessor of the old Sorento features numerous benefits over the previous model, for more room within the cabin, which is especially useful if you’re carrying seven people. The Sorento has lower ground clearance, now this does sound like a bad thing, however this will greatly improve the handling, which was a minor issue in the past mode. Inside the vehicle, you’ll find a pleasant and spacious environment, ideal for carrying many people. One of the most significant changes however is the weight reduction, it’s actually 215kg lighter than the previous model, thanks to a new monocoque bodyshell, therefore you can expect  less emissions and a greater MPG.

The standard model of the Sorento will be fitted with a 2.2 litre diesel, which produces a respectable 194 BHP and will be equiped with a range of gizmos such as keyless entry, reversing camera and push button startup. More details will become available just before the SUV goes on sale, which will be around early next year.
