MINI have announced this week they are releasing a practical MINI which would be ideal for new drivers who are purchasing there first car, although the price tag of £10, 950 may be too much for new drivers, especially for young adolescences. The MINI First  features a 1.4 litre engine which is the same engine featured in the MINI One, power wise, it produces 75 BHP and has a 0 – 60 speed of 13.2 with a top speed on 109 MPH. It also has the multi rear axle & independent front suspension that gives MINI’s the ‘go kart’ handling they are recognised for.

The First is also a very economical car, featuring electronics which advise you when to change gear, and also brake engine recovery, giving the First an average fuel consumption of 5.3 MPG and just 128g per kilometre of CO2.

This budget MINI is available with a range of options and extras such as Bluetooth to USB audio and velour carpet mats. Overall this looks an idea car for first time drivers, running costs are low, and without a million BHP and very good handling, this is certainly a friendly car for people who has just passed their test.
