The newest edition of the Porsche 911 has been released, and typically from a visual perspective, it looks exactly the same as its predecessor, as it typical of the German automotive company. There are however, many unnoticed changes such as chrome headlamp surrounds, a new wheel design and restyled flog lights, however the bigger changes are hidden under the bonnet, or boot in Porsches case. In the boot of the car, you’ll find a brand spanking new 3.8 direct injection twin turbo straight six, which produces a colossal 500BHP! Which makes this the second 911 to ever produce over 500 BHP, after the GT2 which produces 530 BHP. This power certainly reflects the performance times, the new 911 turbo can get from 0 – 60 MPH in just 3.7 seconds, which is the equivalent to the Mercedes McLaren SLR for example. At top speed, you’ll be doing 194 MPH which is only 1 MPH higher than the current turbo.

Inside the car, there have been several interior changes which I can assure will please most Porsche 911 fans, the fantastic PDK twin clutch gearbox as available for the new Turbo, also from an emissions perspective, it’s like they have used witchcraft. Despite being more power than the previous Turbo, they have somehow managed to cut the CO2 emissions and fuel consumptions by a massive 18%.
Sales of the Turbo start on November 21st within the UK, you can expect prices between £101,000 to £109,000.
