The Porsche 993 came with new 16 inch wheels and also some new fenders at the back. The chassis was also worked on extensively.

The modified 3.6L Configuration gave an output of 270 horse power and also the all new six speed gear box was installed in the Porsche 993.

The rear suspension went through considerable amount of changes and the brakes were changed too. The exhaust pipes which were single until now have been replaced with turbo exhaust pipes. Now the modified Porsche 993 is being called the Carrera. Now what do these changes mean to the end user and how will they benefit from the previous version of the Porsche 993. For the end user the features to look at were the increased luggage space because now the Porsche 993 came with an interior built in luggage space apart from the exterior one and this increased the space and the luggage room directly by 20 percent.

More comfort inside the car can be expected with new seats, new look and now the seats are more ergonomically. The technological changes meant a more fuel efficient and a lighter vehicle with boosted performance. The Porsche 993 was capable of everyday use and long distance drives with equal level of performance.
