Saab has introduced its first SUV called the Saab 9-7X with the Saab signature grille in the front and the unmistakable badge. But underneath the Swedish disguise the platform that it has been built on is from the General Motors midsize SUV and has a common mechanism of the General Motors. The Saab 9-7X can be thought of as an SUV from General Motor which has had a Swedish Makeover. The current Saab 9-7X is available in two trims the 4.2i and the 5.3i.
The 4.2i comes with a 4.2L Configuration which can deliver 290 horsepower and the 5.3i comes with a V8 Configuration which can deliver a little more than the 4.2L. The standard features that they come with are leather seating, heated front seats, Bose stereo, and on Star. Side air bags are also included as a standard feature. The Saab 9-7X does not come with the Saabs new turbo charged Configuration and does not carry that signature of Saab which is a differentiating factor in this car from the others.
The Saab 9-7X can seat up to five and the third row seating is not available. The Saab on the whole gives a smooth ride with a well weighted steering. The cargo space is plenty and when the rear seats have been folded there is a space of 80 cubic feet.
