Skoda was not joking when it announced the Skoda Montreux at the Geneva Motor show which was almost identical to the Volkswagen Passat and saying that it was only a design study and not much.
The Skoda Montreux is an extremely well made car from the outer looks and the interiors look exactly like the Volkswagen Passat. From the Geneva Motor Show a lot of viewers gathered that the Skoda Montreux almost ready for production.
Once this version of Skoda has been done up fully it will be released the following autumn and will get into full fledged production. Skoda however gives only classified information when needed about this car and keeps most of it hushed up but rumors have it that whenever the Skoda Montreux is approved and gets a go ahead for production it is possible that it will be priced at 20,000 pounds in the United Kingdom.
There is also a diesel version which is still to be released. Both the 2.0 and the 1.8 turbocharged Configurations which were actually offered in the Passat will be offered with the V6 and V8 Configurations. However whenever the Skoda Montreux will be launched it will not be called the Montreaux but Skoda is not willing to divulge any more information about that.
