The MCC Smart is a German company who mostly made Supermnini’s and micro cars. It is called the smart 
in many parts of the world. Now the company is a part of the Daimler Chrysler brand. The smart is considered to be the easiest vehicle that can be parked because of its size. It almost fits anywhere. The wheelbase measures only 2.5 meters. There were many models from smart like smartfortwo cabriolet, smartforfour, smart Roadster, and so on.
There was an electric version of the car too. The smart for two was introduced to North America through Mercedes Benz in 2004. There was a lot of demand for the Smart vehicles soon after it was launched because people found it very utilitarian to run daily errands. Smart came in many color variations and people started liking too. There was a gasoline version designed for Canada especially because they had stringent levels for fuel emissions. The Smart was launched in the United States at the same time and created a lot of enthusiasm in people especially in the Bay Area in cities .like San Francisco and other cities like New York. The Smart found a lot of buyers in these areas. However after a year or so the Smart concept sort of fizzled out and people started going back to their usual Sedans and Hatchbacks, and SUV’s.
Smart stopped exporting and right now the Smart is available in what is called the Grey market. But now again Smart will be launched in a version that suits the United States by Daimler Chrysler in the year 2008.The smart can be very well be imported or purchased from Canada but the United States government does not permit the vehicles to be brought into the country because the Canadian laws of emissions do not meet the standards of United States laws of emissions regulations acts. That is why Daimler Chrysler has to launch the vehicle for United States separately.
