After the huge success of Mini Daimler Chrysler now wants to launch the Smart fortwo in 20098 and only then can we say much about the car. Small cars like the Mini are America’s latest craze among cars.
The new Smart fortwo is larger than the original but the difference is not much and barely by 7.6 inches and 2 inches wider. This was mandated for pedestrian safety and to increase luggage space as well.
In spite of all these changes the Smart fortwo still comes across as a tiny car in comparison to other cars. The Smart fortwo has been packaged cleverly with a 1.0L 3 cylinder Configuration delivering 71 horsepower and a 68-pound-feet torque and it sits right under the trunk floor and front of the rear axle. The hatch provides quite a good amount of luggage space for two. Inside the car the passenger room is also good. The exterior of the car is like a hunk, cute but still muscular.
 The rev counters, sleek curves and the dash are trademark smart features in the car. The good things going for the Smart fortwo is that it is fuel efficient and easy to drive and it doesn’t earn points when it comes to power like the mini, but it could be an everyday car for people who seek something different in their lives.
