The Suzuki Aerio was first introduced in 2002 as an entry level compact car, a four door sedan and had the body style of a wagon. This particular model from Suzuki made too many statements.
The Suzuki Aerio was among the smallest of the cars that were available in America after its own product Esteem. The Suzuki Aerio came in two trims the S and the GS trim which was little more up market.
The Wagon came only in the SX trim. All the trims in the Aerio model used only the four cylinder engine which delivered up to 141 horse power and was one of the most powerful engines in this genre of cars especially the sub compact category. Antilock braking system was an optional feature in this car which was not a sensible decision for Suzuki but however it had other things working in its favor.
The GS and the Sedan came with 15 inch alloy wheels and the standard equipment that was included in the Suzuki Aerio were Air conditioning, CD player, Split rear seats which could fold, and tachometer. The competitors for this breed of Suzuki were the Civic, Ford Focus and Mazda Protégé’.
