The Vauxhall Cavalier is one of the large family cars which were sold in the UK in the beginning by the Vauxhall Motor Company. The V is basically a restyled version of the opel Ascona of Germany. However this car was produced in the Vauxhall factory in Luton.

Originally when the Vauxhall Cavalier was released, it came in three trims, a two door model, a saloon and a two door coupe’ with boot. There were two choices of Vauxhall engines, the 1.6L and the 1.9L.

However the 1.9L was only used with the Coupe’.  There was one thing common with all Vauxhall Cavalier and that was the body work which was similar to the Ascona but the front was a little different and resembled somewhat with the Opel Manta.

The cavalier was initially offered in 1978to 1979 and was called the Centaur then. But it was not a very successful back then and now Vauxhall has come with a much better version and which is more successful than its sibling. The current day Vauxhall Cavalier comes in three trims, the L, GL and the GLS. All Vauxhall cars come with its standard front wheel drive and the bets about any of these models is the fuel economy at the price packaging for so much value.
