Vauxhall has launched yet another new flagship saloon called the Vauxhall VXR8 from the British Marquee. The car was first introduced in the Geneva Motor Show in 2006 and will go on sale in late 2007 as a future model for 2008. The car is aversion of the Australian car Club sport R8 and which in turn derives its fundamentals from Holden VE Commodore.
The Vauxhall VXR8 is the first car in the executive class after the long forgotten Omega back in 2003. The Omega completely died down and this car has much better prospects than its former.
The Vauxhall VXR8 has been put to a lot of tests and the results claim that the car can reach 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds and if it has an automatic transmission then the speed is 5 seconds. The Vauxhall VXR8 is expected to be priced at £35,105. Vauxhall claims that there are already a lot of bookings and they had ordered the first 100.
However this is not a benchmarking for a car which claims such high credibility and the credentials have more to speak about themselves in the coming days. The company is really hoping for the best results for obvious reasons for this car as this is one segment which they can really a mark with in the auto market.
