The Volkswagen Phaeton is a luxury sedan huge in size and is from the flagship stable of Volkswagen. It has been launched to suit the Audi A8 and the Jaguar XJ shelf in the market and is rather upscale.
The Volkswagen Phaeton pronounced as the “fay-ton” is a name taken from the Greek myth who is the son of Helios. The Volkswagen Phaeton was created to appeal to the higher class and the Volkswagen group wanted it to surpass cars like the Benz. The Phaeton has been built on the D3 platform which is shared by Bentley and the audio and the transmission is shared with the Audi. In all the car models available with the Volkswagen the Volkswagen Phaeton has the longest wheel base.
The Volkswagen Phaeton is also an eco friendly vehicle with really low emissions and has a glass exterior. The Volkswagen Phaeton is actually the brain child of Piëch who gave his team a list of ten parameters to work on and create the car he envisioned. These are not popular specifications and half the people buying it wouldn’t even know about them and whatever these specifications are the car is amazing and is better than the most on its shelf.
