The Volvo XC60 is a concept car unveiled in the North American International Car show in Detroit, Michigan in the year 200. However it is scheduled to go on sale only in 2009.the Volvo XC60 shares the technology platform with Land rover and Freelander.
The Volvo XC60 has caused a lot of eagerness among the viewers and it comes with new styling, new features and a design. This also serves as the platform for the upcoming future vehicles from Volvo and gives a perspective of what can be expected in the future. The new features for the car include a neat grille, a glass roof and a new gear shifting mechanism. The Volvo XC60 has more or less the same traits as the S60 but is much more utilitarian and also more versatile than its predecessor.
From the preview a lot of viewers also gathered information on the design cues that will be seen in all the future Volvo’s. The interior of the Volvo XC60 has been finished with saddle leather and aluminum. the safety feature are very good in the Volvo XC60 and they are also including the new city safety technology in the car which was much talked about and even showcased as a concept itself.
