Ford Fusion – Review

The Ford Fusion is a mid-sized automobile produced by the Ford Motor Company for the United States of America and Canada. It has been produced since the year 2006.

The Ford Fusion is manufactured in Mexico at the Hermosillo Stamping and Assembly Plant in Hermosillo, Sonora. This is also where the Lincoln MKZ and Mercury Milan models are manufactured. All three of these vehicles are based on the same platform and were launched at the same time.

Production on the first units of the Ford Fusion began in the year 2005. The Ford Fusion was a replacement vehicle for the Ford Contour in the United States of America and Canada and the Ford Mondeo in Mexico.

The launch of the Ford Fusion showcased the new three-bar grille design of Ford. This is supposed to become a Ford trademark for the remainder of the decade. It is expected that around 200,000 Ford Fusions will be produced each year. In the year 2006, over 140,000 units of the vehicle were sold in the United States of America alone.

The Ford Fusion is meant to compete with the Chevrolet Malibu, Pontiac G6, Toyota Camry, Chevrolet Impala, Nissan Altima, Honda Accord, and Mitsubishi Galant.
